This is a part-time position located in Bloomington, MN reporting to the Regional Government Relations Manager.

Purpose: This position is located in Bloomington, MN and provides administrative support for the Regional Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Organization: Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize workload to accommodate assignments for Regional Manager upon request. This will include maintaining contacts, mailing

             lists and filing system.

  • Correspondence: Prepare or draft correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc.
  • Scheduling: Schedule appointments, meetings and help coordinate travel itineraries upon request.
  • Communication: Excellent telephone and communications skills are mandatory. Screens telephone calls and visitors and resolves routine and some complex inquiries.
  • Special Projects: Ability to execute special projects such as tracking media alerts, maintain tracking systems, doing data entry/extraction from established database to create reports, etc.
  • Filing: Coordinate common files (hard copy and electronic files) and key source documents.
  • Accounting: Must possess general competencies to perform expense account processing and reconciliation upon request.
  • Image: Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential in order to foster and maintain a positive and professional image of the department and the Company.

Key Challenges:

  • New state and federal legislative maps will be implemented as of the November 2020 elections.  This will necessitate an extensive update of the databases we use to communicate with our constituent legislators.

Scope:

  • Development and upkeep of legislative spreadsheets for each of our states.  Information will include the state and federal elected officials who represent our facilities and their contact information.
  • Scheduling a minimum of 12 legislative visits to business locations within our region.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent PC software skills including Outlook, Microsoft Office tools, Excel, Word, Power Point; Internet savvy; and working knowledge of basic and advanced office equipment.
  • Must be team player, willing to assist at "crunch" times (before meetings or other important deadlines).
  • A positive attitude, willingness to ask pertinent questions, and discretion in regards to corporate issues and projects.
  • Must be a pro-active individual who prepares in advance for projects and can offer creative solutions to ensure completion of tasks.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to draft, review and edit written correspondence and ensure proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, abbreviation and numerals.
  • Must have 3-4 years of experience in a professional support position.
