Job Description: Education Coordinator

 

Job Overview:  The Education Coordinator is responsible for administration of educational programs to include research, rental, pre-event coordination, and onsite logistics for MAT-sponsored events and to assist the MAT Board of Education and Training Committee in presentation of programing.   

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Determine any equipment needs and promotional items for events.
  • Responsible for location research, pre- and post-data, for all MAT sponsored events.
  • Responsible for all rental contracts, coordination, and onsite logistical needs for all MAT sponsored events.        
  • Onsite at events, will be responsible for the setup or registration of meeting rooms, point person at event between MAT and venue staff.
  • Collaborate with the MAT Board Chair for Education and Training Committee as well as MAT staff on training events, evaluations, new ideas, conference themes, speakers, and other associations for all educational and training programs.
  • Responsible for all exhibitor related duties before/during/after the Annual Conference.
  • Responsible for ensuring all promotional and educational materials for MAT events such as brochures, invitations, applications, flyers, and programs are completed and distributed.
  • Abide by the by-laws and policies of the MAT Board of Directors.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • BA or higher, with preferred experience in graphic design, event planning, journalism, or similar.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (all programs) and web-based programs.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated organizational skills that include an aptitude for detail and time management and the ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects independently.
  • Demonstrated skills in creativity, innovation, and imagination.

 

Risk issues

  • Extensive contact with membership at events.
  • Lifting of up to 70 pounds.
  • Extensive driving to event locations.
