The External Affairs team for the Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota chapter at The Nature Conservancy is responsible for advocating for key policies and millions of dollars of conservation projects every year that protect forests, grasslands, and water across our three-state region. Our team is seeking a Government Relations Associate to support the External Affairs team to advance policy and public funding goals in support of our conservation objectives. The Government Relations Associate will provide capacity to monitor the legislative session, conduct policy research, and provide project coordination and administrative support such as bill tracking, maintaining relationship management systems, and planning and scheduling meetings with elected officials, agency representatives and key stakeholders. This role reports to the Government Relations Manager and will provide support to the entire External Affairs Team. In this role, you can expect:
