SUMMARY: The Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enterprising public relations professional to promote the Chamber’s mission and reach its goals by supporting its media and public relations and communications strategy. 
                                                                                    

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Serve as intermediary between reporters and Chamber spokespeople.
• Manage press announcements, staff in-person and virtual opportunities.
• Track and analyze earned media coverage.
• Draft talking points, blogs, mass emails, grassroots and other content.
• Edit and proof collaterals and other materials. 
• Provide communications support including content, database, external timeline and planning, project management, evaluation and analysis of tactics.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Degree in communications, public relations, politics or related field. 
• 2 – 3 years’ professional experience. 
• Strong written and verbal communications skills. 
• Experience working with media and knowledge of the legislative process strongly preferred. 
• Ability to manage and organize multiple details with a focus on accuracy. 
• A positive, can-do attitude is necessary!
