DCYF Licensing Director

Description

Responsibilities in this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing accountability for reliably delivering transformative licensing services that promote the health, safety and well-being of Minnesota children, youth and families. 
  • Directing and coordinating the licensing and administrative functions of the Licensing (DCYF) Division, so that the Division operates efficiently and effectively to ensure the health, safety, and rights of children, youth, and families served by Department of Human Services (DHS) licensed programs. 
  • Managing, directing, and implementing new and ongoing projects that assess the programmatic needs for licensed providers and licensing staff so that work is conducted and carried out effectively and efficiently with cross-divisional input.   
  • Directing the development and operation of the licensing (DCYF) division’s monitoring, evaluating, reporting, and quality assurance operations to ensure that the division is meeting objectives and that reporting, and quality assurance efforts are coordinated with the central intake, investigations, data, and other division licensing units and information and technology unit. 
  • Assumes responsibility of primary decision-maker in absence of the DCYF Inspector General.
