The Minnesota Forest Resources Council (https://mn.gov/frc/) is seeking a part-time student worker to assist with the development of policy information to support sustainable management and protection of forestlands in Minnesota.
Working closely with MFRC staff and Council members, the position will perform desktop research and analyses to understand the unique conditions, trends, challenges, opportunities, and benefits of family-owned forests. In addition, the position will gain first-hand operational experience by assisting MFRC with critical communication, programmatic, and administrative functions.
This is an excellent opportunity for students who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree to gain applied professional experience for a future career in forestry, natural resources policy and economics, or environmental advocacy. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse forest professionals and stakeholders.
