Hello, 

My name is Dagny Heimisdottir, and I am a dedicated scientist (M.S. in pharmacology) who is passionate about substance use disorder. I find that often, the disconnect between the research community that works on groundbreaking treatments and the legislative community that must regulate those treatments is vast. I have some skills in communicating complex research ideas in a way that is accessible to non-experts and I can bridge the gap between biomedical research and politics, and make the two sides understand each other. 

I am looking for a way to leverage my expertise in research on substance use disorders to help people gain access to treatments that are safe, effective, and affordable.
