As a highly driven and resourceful government relations and communications professional with experience and relationships across multiple government, public relations, and cooperative facets, I look forward to the opportunity to exhibit how my passion for public policy in a changing economic, social, and political environment can deepen the impact of your team within Minnesota State policy as well as internal and external stakeholders.

While working for the Minnesota House of Representatives I developed skills in advocacy support, relationship building, legal research, drafting reports, progress monitoring, initiating change, interpersonal skills and training government officials and staff. Being the Committee Legislative assistant for the Government Operations and Elections Committee allowed me to exhibit my abilities as a capable leader and effective problem solver. As the liaison for my committee chair, I developed into a highly organized manager known for managing high volume tasks in a high-pressure environment. One of which being the main point of contact regarding the committee and the bills within the committee’s possession. One unique characteristic of the Government Operations and Election committee is that almost every bill that was being carried through the legislative process had to be heard in our committee. This allowed me to develop my expertise researching a broad scope of topics. I also had the honor of training incoming legislators. Leadership only selected staffers that were experts in the legislative process and knowledgeable of the politics that influenced government.

My keen attention to detail and skills in communication, event planning and implementation, social media, research, time management, creative thinking and commitment to continued education will allow me to build upon the success of my predecessor.
